The application for the Erasmus Mundus CLE is open to students coming from program and partner countries.

Candidates are declared admitted or not admitted based on the result of the verification  of the admission criteria.

It is also possible to participate in the application for different types of financial supports depending the call to which the students participate. This preference must be indicated at the time of application in the appropriate section of the Online Application Form.

  • First call for application> from 30/10/2017 to 15/01/2018 with the possibility to participate in the selection of the Erasmus + Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) scholarships according to the selection criteria described on the page.
  • Second call for application from 16/04/2018 to 17/06/2018 with the possibility to participate in the selection of any other financial supports provided on the basis of the funds available according to the selection criteria indicated on the page.

Note that those who do not qualify for Erasmus + Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) scholarships in the first call will automatically enter in the second ranking list for any other financial supports scheduled for the second call, if this interest has been indicated in the appropriate section of the Online Application Form.

The following application guidelines are intended to help students to prepare a competitive application for our program. Please read them carefully.

In order to apply for the Erasmus Mundus CLE, the candidate must:
a) verify his/her eligibility: see the admission criteria;
b) follow a two-step procedure (both steps are mandatory):

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED for the admission

All documents required have to be uploaded on the application website.

LANGUAGE: English, Italian, French or Greek (official translations are not compulsory in this first step).

FORMAT: Only PDF, DOC and JPEG files will be accepted.

DOCUMENTS: Every single file and further supporting documents have to be renamed as following: « FAMILY NAME » « First Name » - « Type of document » (e.g. SMITHMarc-CV).

1. Online application form duly filled in, signed and dated (printed at the end of the online application process).
2. Copy of a valid passport or national ID card (ID card is accepted for EU citizens ONLY) [SMITHMarc-IDENTITY.pdf];
3. Copy of the original diplomas indicating the final level obtained. In case the student has not yet obtained the degree at the time of the application, and he is in the last year of study, a document issued by his University of origin stating the estimated date to obtain the degree has to be produced instead of the diploma. All selected candidates must obtain their first cycle degree by July 31, 2018. If students do not graduate within the due specified dates, the application will be cancelled [SMITHMarc-DIPLOMA.pdf];
4. Transcript of records during the bachelor phase [SMITHMarc-TRANSCRIPT.pdf];
5. Certificate of the student’s level of proficiency in the required languages (e.g. diploma, university exams, language certificates).
Students are required to have a minimum B1 level in English and the language of the entrance University.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS (uploaded on the same Online application system) for students interested in Erasmus + Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree scholarships or possible financial supports:

1. Full curriculum vitae (CV Europass template) [SMITHMarc-CV.pdf];

2. Only for candidates participating in the first call to application and asking for the Erasmus + Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) scholarship:
Proof of the place of residence: a residence certificate or a certificate from the candidate’s  place of work/study or training, stating the residence at the time of the application [SMITHMarc-RESIDENCE.pdf]

3. Motivation letter (explaining the background of the candidate and the reasons for applying to the CLE Master’s programme) [SMITHMarc-MOTIVATION.pdf];

4. Two letters of recommendation* written by academics/researchers who have participated in the candidate’s academic training. Letters by the coordinating professors of partner universities are not accepted. They must be written on a headed paper of the University concerned and signed by the referee. 2. POSTAL SUBMISSION

The signed and dated application form (printed at the end of the on-line application process) along with all documents required has to be sent by express courier (e.g. TNT, DHL, Fedex, ...) with a return receipt before the deadline 15/01/2018 – first call and 17/06/2018  - second call (as per postmark) to the following address:

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND APPLICATIONS SENT AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

FOR ADMITTED STUDENTS ONLY

Given that the enrolled procedures will be those of the "Reception University Center", where you will need to refine your registration, all selected students will be asked to provide us with:

a) the original University diploma indicating the final grade;
b) the transcript of records (all courses attended).
Documents a) and b) have to be legalised and translated by one of the following authorities: the Italian, French, Greek or Senegalese Embassy or Consulate. For documents issued in French, English, Italian or Spanish the translation is not necessary;
c) a declaration of the Italian (Dichiarazione di Valore), French, Greek or Senegalese Embassy/Consulate stating that the diploma issued by the University of origin corresponds to at least a three-year academic diploma.
The Consulate or Embassy must be chosen on the basis of the Entrance University (e.g. first year University of Bologna = Embassy or Consulate of Italy / first year Université de Haute-Alsace or Université de Strasbourg = Embassy or Consulate of France / first year Aristoteleion Panepistimion Thessaloniki = Embassy or Consulate of Greece/ first year Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar= Embassy or Consulate of Senegal).

Students who have not yet obtained the degree are accepted conditionally and they are expected to obtain their first cycle degree by July 31, 2018. If students do not graduate within the due specified dates, the application will be cancelled.

Pay attention: if the documents do not reach the CLE by September 1, 2018, the student will be excluded from the Master Course.
